Being the first release to carry the LaserVision "L" logo and the first disc issued that was not in the familiar
DiscoVision artwork makes "How To Watch Pro Football" an important LaserVision Landmark. "How To Watch
Pro Football" is the first OPA (Optical Programming Associates) release on disc. It was carried, as most OPA titles
were, in the MCA DiscoVision and later MCA VIDEODISC, INC. catalogs, as well as listed in Pioneer and NAP literature. An
early announcement flyer distributed to Magnavox dealers showed this title in the familiar DiscoVision jacket artwork. No
DiscoVision artwork copies have ever been seen and one must assume that release sheet was simply a mock-up. The disc was
released in late 1980. Copies examined have all been American pressings for "How To Watch Pro Football."
The program is CAV-Standard Play on two sides and contains many interactive LV features, among them are Picture Stop and
Dual Audio.
